Like other towns located along Kenya’s Indian Ocean coastline, Malindi experiences a tropical type of climate with two rainy seasons in a year. The town experiences heavy rainfall between the months of March and June, with amount of rainfall ranging between 350 and 400 mm. The town also experiences short rains between the months of October and December. Rainfall at this time is however less in intensity. Malindi is generally hot and humid with temperatures ranging between 28 degrees centigrade at night and up to 35 degrees centigrade during the day.
